(*) SKU: Stock keeping unit, a product unit for inventory control. Also called "single article" by some companies. For example, if a T-shirt comes in sizes S, M and L, keeping stock of just "T-shirts" is meaningless. You need to know which sizes are in stock and how well they are selling. Therefore, the unit has more detail and, in this case, one SKU means "T-shirt: size S".
