Service, TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai Huajia International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. (Chief Executive Officer: Preston Lui) has introduced an independent bonded transport service to enhance inland transport in China. MOL Logistics has also upgraded the Qingdao representative office to a branch office, and opened a branch in Xiamen and representative offices in Dalian and Ningbo. MOL Logistics acquired a local truck transport company licensed to offer nationwide service in China, and started its own bonded truck transport service, Shanghai HuaGuo Transportation Co., Ltd. It currently operates a fleet of 10 customs-approved, GPS-equipped bonded trucks in eastern China, centered on Shanghai. These trucks provide safe, reliable, and speedy transport service. The new trucking service also allows MOL Logistics to offer independent bonded transport service utilizing its warehouse in the Shanghai Waigaoqiao Bonded Logistics Zone (WBLZ). MOL Logistics continues to expand its network in the rapidly growing Chinese market. Effective December 1, the company upgraded its Qingdao Representative Office to a branch, and at the same time opened the Xiamen Branch, Dalian Representative Office, and Ningbo Representative Office. With the opening of these offices, the MOL Logistics network in China totals 13 offices of three subsidiaries (Shanghai Huajia International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd., MOL Logistics (WBLZ) Co., Ltd., and MOL Logistics (HK) Ltd.), two head offices and five branches (Shanghai, Hong Kong, Beijing, Qingdao, Zhagjiagang, Xiamen, and Shenzhen), and six representative offices (Dalian, Tiangin, Suzhou, Hangzhou, Ningbo, and Guangzhou). With the acquisition of this truck transport company, MOL Logistics now has all main licenses for logistics-related operations, such as freight forwarding and a first class cargo sales agent's license, in its China network.
