MOL Logistics Acquires ISO Environmental Management System Certification
TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced that its head office in Kanda Surugadai, Tokyo, acquired ISO environmental management system certification (ISO14001), effective on April 28, 2006.
Increasing population and economic globalization are fueling continued growth in world trade, and explosive expansion in the need for transport and logistics services. In today's age of mass consumption, caring for the environment and managing the world's limited resources are becoming more critical than ever.
Businesses today must take responsibility for the environmental impact of their activities, and MOL Logistics (Japan) is taking a proactive approach to environmental issues. As part of this effort, the company acquired international certification for its environmental management system.
As a part of the MOL Group, MOL Logistics (Japan) continues to promote environmental protection in line with the MOL Group Environmental Policy Statements.
