MOL Logistics Launches Total Logistics Information Support System

TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced the introduction of a Total Logistics Information Support System that meets a wide range of customer needs.

>Easy access to status reports
The Total Logistics Information Support System offers much more than warehouse control and tracking functions. By combining both functions, it allows customers to get an overall view of their global supply chain by stock numbers or invoice numbers, including inventory control, cargo in transit around the world, and the shipping status of every order, including partial shipments. Customers can also view the system's interface their production and sales control systems. The Total Logistics Information Support System also provides a range of data transmission options, including wired or wireless direct interface or password-protected online access.

>Reliable partners
The system architecture was created in collaboration with Manhattan Associates, Inc. and Toyo Business Engineering Corporation. Manhattan Associates has earned an excellent reputation for its reliability in global supply chain systems, while Toyo Engineering provides integrated services from consulting, architecture, and operations to maintenance of the system. The Total Logistics Information Support System brings together Manhattan's warehouse control system, Toyo Business Engineering's trade logistics management system, and MOL Logistics' wide-ranging know-how in distribution and logistics. In addition to enhancing MOL Logistics' transport and logistics services, the new system allows the company to provide information-related services at various stages on a global scale, such as support and restructuring of customers' logistics information.

The system is in place with a range of services starting this summer. For example, MOL Logistics offers a combination of logistics and agency services for a customer restructuring its logistics related to procurement of goods from China. The company is also providing a total interface linking production, sales control, and warehouse control systems for a customer moving operations into Central Europe.

MOL Logistics' Total Logistics Information Support System offers a complete "logistics infrastructure." MOL Logistics Subsidiary Opens Guangzhou Branch

TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced that its subsidiary, Shanghai Huajia International Freight Forwarding Co., Ltd. (Chief Executive Officer: Preston Lui) will open a branch in Guangzhou, Guangdong Province, China, effective on May 8, 2005.

Guangzhou's logistics infrastructure has been developed rapidly thanks to the opening of Guangzhou Baiyun Airport and development at Huangpo port, and other neighboring ports.

The opening of the new Guangzhou Branch allows the company to offer domestic logistics services in China utilizing the MOL Logistics network, which now covers 13 cities in China. In addition, it can provide a range of services for international cargo arriving/departing at Hong Kong and Guangzhou Province.

MOL Logistics (Japan) has also boosted the competitiveness of its sales force and expanded its logistics network all over the world as the MOL Group's core logistics company. To serve China's domestic logistics market, the company will offer just-in-time (JIT) services to customers and plans to launch regular consolidated trucking services linking south, east, and north China, and expand its warehousing services that indirectly support logistics between southern and northern regions. MOL Logistics Subsidiary Starts Operation in Czech Republic

TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced the start of operations by the company's newly established subsidiary in the Czech Republic. Based in Plzen MOL Logistics (Czech) s.r.o. offers a range of total logistics services including an advanced warehouse.

Plzen is an industrial center known for Skoda heavy machinery and pilsner beer breweries. The city is ideally located on a major truck route between Germany and the Czech Republic, so many foreign firms, including Japanese and Taiwanese companies, have located there. It has been in the spotlight as a production center for the European market since the Czech Republic became an EU member in May 2004.

MOL Logistics (Czech) s.r.o. is located in Plzen's Borska Pole industrial park, and will offer warehousing in its advanced 7,600m2 facility as well as international intermodal services through gateways such as Hamburg

MOL Logistics(Czech) is ready to offer the best facilities of logistics services including warehouse services for our customers in Czech. In Pilsen, our facilities are through our contract with a good local operator with details as mentioned in our previous press release.

The warehouse features multistory racks and 14-meter high ceilings. It also offers electronic interface with customers' production and sales management system through the most advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS). This is by far the most advanced warehouse in the region. In the future, MOL Logistics (Czech) will offer high value added logistics services to meet a range of customer needs, with just-in-time delivery (KANBAN sequence delivery) to customers in neighboring areas, on-site logistics services at factories, and intermodal transport to surrounding areas in cooperation with the MOL Logistics Group European network.
