MOL Logistics Subsidiary Starts Operation in Czech Republic

TOKYO - MOL Logistics (Japan) Co., Ltd. (President: Kazuki Mori) today announced the start of operations by the company's newly established subsidiary in the Czech Republic. Based in Plzen MOL Logistics (Czech) s.r.o. offers a range of total logistics services including an advanced warehouse.

Plzen is an industrial center known for Skoda heavy machinery and pilsner beer breweries. The city is ideally located on a major truck route between Germany and the Czech Republic, so many foreign firms, including Japanese and Taiwanese companies, have located there. It has been in the spotlight as a production center for the European market since the Czech Republic became an EU member in May 2004.

MOL Logistics (Czech) s.r.o. is located in Plzen's Borska Pole industrial park, and will offer warehousing in its advanced 7,600m2 facility as well as international intermodal services through gateways such as Hamburg

MOL Logistics(Czech) is ready to offer the best facilities of logistics services including warehouse services for our customers in Czech. In Pilsen, our facilities are through our contract with a good local operator with details as mentioned in our previous press release.

The warehouse features multistory racks and 14-meter high ceilings. It also offers electronic interface with customers' production and sales management system through the most advanced Warehouse Management System (WMS). This is by far the most advanced warehouse in the region. In the future, MOL Logistics (Czech) will offer high value added logistics services to meet a range of customer needs, with just-in-time delivery (KANBAN sequence delivery) to customers in neighboring areas, on-site logistics services at factories, and intermodal transport to surrounding areas in cooperation with the MOL Logistics Group European network.
